Hub 2.0 PoE+ Setup Procedure
1. Purchase POE Network Injector or Switch
- If connecting to one (1) Fermentation Hub, you'll need an IEEE 802.3at(PoE+) or better injector with at least 30 watts.
- We recommend this injector: Planet p/n POE-176-95
- If connecting to multiple Fermentation Hubs, you'll need an IEEE 802.3at(PoE+) or
better switch, with at least 30 watts per port.
- We recommend this switch: IPCamPower p/n IPCP-4P2G-BT1
2. Place the injector/switch in a central location near an AC outlet.
3. Connect IEEE 802.3at(4-pairs PoE or 4PPoE) rj45 cable between switch/injector and
existing router. Connect an additional cable rj45 cable between switch/injector and each Fermentation Hub (see figure below).
- We recommend these cables: 50' 100' 200' 300',
4. To maintain IP67 (ingress protection), feed rj45 cable through the plug housing, rotate the black compression nut CW until the rubber grommet compresses onto the cable, then screw the housing onto the Fermentation Hub rj45 socket. (see figure below)
- We recommend this plug housing: Amphenol p/n RCP-00BMMS-SLM7001
