How to Attach the Version 1.5 Fermentation Hub to the Tank Connector [w/ Video]
PLEASE NOTE: There are currently two versions of the BrewIQ Fermentation Hub
Version 1.5 - features two plastic hoses on top of the Hub, with a sample valve on bottom left.
Version 2.0 - features two metal valves on top of the Hub with no hoses.
Attaching the Fermentation Hub to the Tank Connector
- Remove the wingnuts from the back and the knob screw from the top of the Fermentation Hub (formerly SensorHub)
- Line up the holes of the Tank Connector bracket on the tank with the bolts on the back of the Fermentation Hub
- Slide the Fermentation Hub bolts through the Tank Connector bracket holes
- Line up the top hole in the Fermentation Hub with the hole in the top of the Tank Connector bracket, and attach the knob screw
- Attach and tighten the wingnuts to the bolts on the back of the SensorHub
- Sanitize the valves on the Tank Connector using a spray bottle of spot sanitizer
- Plug Fermentation Hub into a power source
- Connect the push connect valves on the Fermentation Hub tubing to the stainless steel valves on the Tank Connector. The tubing on the left side of the Fermentation Hub (inlet) connects to the valve on the right side of the Tank Connector. The tubing on the right side of the Fermentation Hub (outlet) connects to the valve on the left side of the Tank Connector
- Note for non-standard tank connector users: To connect the hoses, follow steps 4.i-4.ii on How to Clean, Sanitize, Assemble, and Install the White River Tank Connector.
- Double-check the tubing to ensure a good seal in the valves
